Launched in 2017 the TenFoot Swim is a challenging 5.5km open sea swim has become one of the must do events on the calendar. It takes advantage of Pembrokeshire’s natural coastline which lends itself to these events with incomparable scenery.
The swim is run entirely by volunteers and raises money for local and national charities with a connection to the local area. To date the events have raised over £65,000 for nominated charities and local supporting services, including The RNLI, Tenby Surf Link, Saundersfoot and Tenby’s Sailing Clubs and Pembrokeshire Paddlers, whose services to the community & contribution to the events are invaluable.
Setting off from North Beach, Tenby the TenFoot Swim course follows the coast to Monkstone Beach where swimmers leave the water for a safety check and feed station. Then it is on through the gap between the rocks at Monkstone Point and round the coast before crossing the entrance to Saundersfoot Harbour and then on to the finish on Coppet Hall beach.
Further information about the next TenFoot Swim which will take place on Saturday 31st August 2024 will appear here soon with details on how to enter.
